Mel
November 28, 2008I teach some photography classes at McIntosh College in Dover, NH., and early this week we went to The Exeter Inn ( www.theexeterinn.com ) for a field trip in seeing and working with light.
Director of Sales and Marketing Tom O’Gorman had set us up with complete access to three guest rooms on different sides of the Inn so we could pick and choose the light we wanted to work with. There was this incredible light coming in through the blinds and Mel was gracious enoung to sit for a fast portrait. The subdued color and her piercing blue eye combined for an intense contrast.
After seeing the rooms, I’m ready to go back to the Inn for a weekend of R&R – if you’re anywhere near Exeter you should check it out – or have a meal at their restaraunt, The Epoch. It’s about the funkiest place north of Boston.
