We were planning a fairly nontraditional wedding and we wanted those candid images that only a really good photo-journalist can get. Jay captured our day brilliantly. He was flat on the ground, up on a ladder–wherever Jay thought he should be to get memorable shots.
Jay’s talent, eye to detail, and ability to capture unforgettable moments was beyond anything we could have dreamed of. When we look back at the photos of our day, each and every frame represents the emotion, joy and beauty of our wedding day. Through his photography, Jay was able to showcase the excitement and buzz around getting ready, the laughter before walking down the aisle as I shared a special moment with my father, the pure love that came through as my husband kissed my hand, and the comical and heartfelt moments of our reception. Couldn’t ask for a better photographer. Jay is a very down to earth guy who is extremely flexible and cooperative. He is happy to do whatever you ask of him. As a photographer, Jay doesn’t make you feel as if he is running the show and it’s his way or the highway but rather works with you closely to obtain the shots your interested in while shooting anything and EVERYTHING else that may comes his way! Jay helped capture one of the best days of our lives. If we were to do it again, Jay would be our only call.
Jay was an amazing photographer. All through the entire process of our wedding, from planning till after we received out pictures, he was the most helpful vendor we used; always professional, helpful, flexible, and a joy to work with making helpful suggestions all along the way that we used to better our wedding.
On our wedding day, he was there for every step but not ever pushy or in the way. At times we didn’t even see him or know he was snapping away and ended up with wonderful shots. And for the formals, he actually made taking pictures fun! And our end product is AMAZING! The pictures are beautiful and the emotions contained in them are worth more then 1000 words. They are better (and more) then we could have ever even imagined. Everyone who looks are our pictures comments how every picture is amazing and worth every penny.

My husband Ben and I hired Jay to be our wedding photographer and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. He does a wonderful job of capturing the moment without you realizing he’s there. Jay is a very thoughtful, thorough and talented photographer. His photojournalistic style created beautiful scenes and endearing candids. He has such a great personality and working with him was easy. The photos were never a part of the wedding we worried about. He really dedicated himself to us and even visited our wedding location before the wedding. He is very reasonably priced especially considering the amount of time he put in. He was with us for over 12 hours from before we started getting ready to the very end! The pictures he takes are available on-line for everyone to view and he had them up just days after the wedding. “One of the things that impressed me the most about Jay is how creative and FUN it was to work with him! My husband and I rode from the church ceremony to the reception in his cousin’s antique Ford Model A. Jay came up great ideas to incorporate the car in a photo shoot and gave us a set of photos that were completely unique!
